I don't pretend with this book to offer the one new insight that will make everyone flourish. I couldn't, and I mistrust books that promise it. What I do want is to bring existing theories together — precisely those theories that show which systems and which behaviour do people and communities good. Demosophy orders and connects what is already there, so that it becomes traceable: from cell to society.
